Reader's Favorite 5 Star Review

"When we're young, it's hard to express what you are actually feeling. How we handle our emotions stems from our childhood as to how we were allowed to express them or not, and how our emotions were received. Do You Ever Feel... by Sharlie Zinniger with beautiful illustrations by Tiffany Cunliffe is the ideal book for healthy ways in which children can express themselves. Sharlie cleverly depicts the various aspects of emotions by tying them to animals and making the messages easy to remember through rhymes. "Do you feel happy? Like an elephant under a sky of blue. Do you feel bored? Like a slow-moving sloth with nothing to do." The author touches on so many levels of emotions from happy and lonely to surprised that can be difficult for children to deal with. Use this book as an easy way to teach your child how to deal with and express their feelings in a healthy way.
I found myself smiling and chuckling at the various words and animals that were used to display the messages in how to depict emotions. Emotions are temperamental and can change at any minute, hour or day. Depending upon how an adult expresses themselves, this children's picture book can be ideal for them as well; it's for any and everyone. With the hustle and bustle of life, we all can benefit from this type of book because it gives a voice to how we're feeling that others may not understand. Do You Ever Feel... by Sharlie Zinniger lets the reader know that it's okay to feel and express their emotions whether they are shy, embarrassed, confused, or confident. Pick up your copy today of this book to show your child that they're not alone in how they're feeling."

"Great book about feelings! Featuring lots of different animals one by one, as they express a different feeling. It’s simple and easy for little ones to follow, the artwork is really cute too. The rhyming text doesn’t seemed forced at all, which is great to see. They really did a great job on this book!"

"We read this every night to our 3 year old son, and he loves it! We reference it throughout the day when he is having trouble expressing his feelings and acting out. It helps him understand what he is feeling and to handle the situation better. This book truly is a gem!"

"This is a must have book for a classroom library! I’m excited to share it with my 1st graders this year- although it would work in any grade. The questions posed in the book open up for student sharing and discussions about feelings as well as what we can do when we feel emotions. I love how it helps the reader connect to their emotions and reminds us we all feel lots of emotions everyday. I also love that it uses the phrase “Do you ever feel.....?”, reminding the reader that who we are is separate from what we feel. (There is a big difference between “I feel angry” vs “I am angry”). The illustrations are wonderful and engaging as well!"
